I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love.

I hate how some people gush over Haruka and Michiru as canon lesbians in a relationship but ignore the fact that it was a threesome with Setsuna. (atleast in the manga- there were wedding rings people). If you are going to be proud of the non traditional relationship be proud of all facets (this doesn’t count for people who didn’t read the manga and didn’t know Setsuna’s involvement. I just hate that she never gets acknowledged. In ways shes more solitary than Hotaru…

Those rings were promise rings because they made a pact to protect and raise Hotaru at all cost. Once Hotaru grew up and become Sailor Saturn again they took them off. They fulfilled their promise and duty to her.

Reblogging this again with this page from act 44

Yeah, Tanya’s 100% correct. Those rings have no romantic/sexual significance, Setsuna, Haruka, and Michiru wore them as symbols of their dedication to raising Hotaru as a family. While the Outer Family is revolutionary for its portrayal of a happy, loving family that happens to have three moms, only two of those moms were in an actual relationship. Idk, I really don’t appreciate OP not fact-checking and then trying to paint those of us who DID as the bad guys. We have no idea what Setsuna’s sexuality is, but she certainly isn’t married to Haruka and Michiru.

Oh, so they removed those promise rings in act 44?
Because, you know, if they had kept them on when they betrayed and murdered Hotaru and Setsuna as part of one of the shittiest plans ever devised, that would have just been uncouth.

You’re mixing up continuities. Haruka and Michiru never betrayed Setsuna and Hotaru in the manga, which is where they wore the promise rings.

Besides the point that the plan was pretty crazy in the anime, but totally would have worked. Not to mention that it’s kinda clear that Setsuna and Hotaru are fine with the plan that Haruka and Michiru pull, seeing as how there’s no hard feelings after the fact.
